ABOUT THE BAGS

What is match a mood?

We're a London-based accessories brand designing premium cosmetic bags in soft terry cloth. Each bag is built around a mood - a colour, a motif, and a feeling that's yours.

What are the bags made of, and what size are they?

100% cotton terry cloth exterior with a 100% nylon interior lining. The motifs are embroidered directly onto the fabric.

Each bag measures 23 × 7 × 15.5 cm - with a tolerance of ±1 cm. They comfortably fit cosmetics, skincare, small daily essentials, and the kind of objects you carry from one place to another.

Are these only for cosmetics?

We call them cosmetic bags, that's the category they sit in. But our customers use them for everything: as a dinner pouch, beach companion, gym bag organiser, weekend travel kit, or a small handbag in their own right. A beautiful object should go wherever you go.

How do I care for my bag?

Hand wash only with mild soap and cool water. Lay flat to dry. Do not dry clean, bleach, or iron directly on the embroidered motif.

How are the bags made?

The bags are designed in London and crafted overseas, by a manufacturer we work with closely. The cotton terry cloth exterior is woven from 100% cotton. The motifs are embroidered with precision.

Why terry cloth?

Because nothing else feels quite like it. Cotton terry is the material behind your favourite towel - soft, familiar, and built to last. We chose it on purpose, over leather, nylon, and canvas, because it makes a bag you genuinely want to pick up every day. Read more in our Fabric & Craft page.

Are all the images real?

Some of our lifestyle and editorial imagery is created using AI tools. All product images accurately represent the design, colour, and details of our bags. We're upfront about this because we'd rather you know than not know. As we grow, we'll continue to invest in real photography alongside our AI-generated content.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Choose your bag from the collection, add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Payment is processed securely. You'll receive an order confirmation by email within minutes.

Can I order multiple bags?

Of course. Add as many as you'd like. When two or more bags are in your cart, you'll automatically get 10% off your second bag - no code needed.

My discount code isn't working. What now?

A few things to check: make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the code, confirm the code is for the order you're placing (some are first-order only), and check it hasn't expired. If it's still not working, email us with the order number - we'll sort it.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. European shipping is coming soon - sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard delivery (3-5 business days) is £3.99. Orders over £70 qualify for free standard shipping. Express delivery (1–2 business days) is available at £5.99.

How long will delivery take?

Standard: 3-5 business days. Express: 1-2 business days. You'll receive a tracking link by email once your order has been dispatched. We typically dispatch within 1-2 business days of receiving your order.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with a tracking link. If you can't find it, check your spam folder, or email us with your order number.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the bag is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging. Items that have been used, washed, or altered cannot be returned.

The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a tracked delivery service - we can't be responsible for items lost in return transit.

How do I start a return?

Visit our returns portal here. You'll need your order number and postal code. Once located, simply follow the instructions. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of receipt.

When will I receive my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days to your original payment method.

My bag arrived damaged. What now?

We're sorry - that's not the experience we want for you. Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.

Can I exchange my bag for a different one?

We don't currently offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different bag, please return your original order and place a new one.

How do I wash my bag?

Hand wash only with mild soap and cool water. Lay flat to dry. Don't bleach, don't dry clean, don't tumble dry, and don't iron directly on the embroidered motif. For full care guidance, read our care guide.

Do you offer wholesale or stock with retailers?

Yes. We work with boutiques, hotels, studios, and corporate gifting clients on orders of 20+ bags. See our Wholesale page or email contact@match-a-mood.com.

Can I work with you as an influencer?

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Not yet. But it's on our list. For now, our bags arrive in branded packaging that makes a great gift as-is.
