a note from the house

we started quietly a few weeks ago. no big launch. we just put the five bags out there and waited to hear what people thought.

they told us. the first ones sold, and the first notes came back. they were kinder and more useful than we expected. we wanted honest reactions before we said much at all.

so now we're ready to open the doors a bit wider. and it's worth explaining why we made these in the first place.

it started with a drawer.

ten cosmetic bags in it, and not one worth looking at. white, beige, branded, free. all made to do one thing: disappear. into a suitcase, under the sink, behind the mirror. the cosmetic bag is the one thing you own that's meant to stay hidden.

we never understood that. the things you carry should say something about you. so we made the first ones made to be seen.

five moods, each embroidered with its own character. a colour, a place, a feeling. one of them is you. soft cotton terry, safety-tested, made in small numbers, designed in london. made to sit on the table, not at the bottom of your bag.

this is our first collection. the riviera, brought into an ordinary week.
